This proposal, if approved, will reduce the minBalance of USDT (1984) & USDC (1337) on AssetHub to 0.01 - currently it is 0.07 for both.

After the recent successful launch of Novasama's Telenova app, some ecosystem agents were discussing how Polkadot could surpass the likes of Solana, Ton and even dethrone Tron as the king of stablecoin payments & transfers - with a handful of changes/ improvements to AssetHub including (but not limited to):

• Reducing the minimum balance/ ED of stablecoins on AH to $0.01 (this proposal)
• Reducing transaction fees on AssetHub by a factor of ~10 (requires runtime upgrade)
• Sub 1s blocktimes on AssetHub (requires Elastic Scaling)

Together with super-apps such as Telenova, these could make AssetHub (and therefore Polkadot) the home of cheap, fast & more importantly stable/ reliable stablecoin transfers - and serve as a perfect case study demonstrating the power of building on Polkadot.

This proposal was prepared by a member of the Fellowship, and tested successfully using Chopsticks by two grand master chopsticks giga chads.
