As it is a well worn critique, we'd like to further address a discussion on AAG #49 presented by Alpha Airdrop regarding what he perceived as high cost of wages and production of The Kusamarian.

In this discussion AA self-identified as an experienced content producer & marketer. He compared wages found in our docs w/ wages found on glassdoor for Netflix writers (who he also mentioned were personal friends).

Ignoring the unfortunate situation of American Netflix writers and other WGA members striking since the beginning of May over wage and labour disputes...

There are several differences separating those who create media for The Kusamarian and those who do for Netflix, or fiverr, or other wages you can fish online:

1. Supply & Demand: good talent is hard to find -- good talent with specialized knowledge of Polkadot and the Passion to keep up with rapid developments is very rare.
2. Scope of Work: AA incorrectly referenced Csaint as receiving $800/episode as a Writer but this payment also includes research, sourcing visuals, recording, presenting, and editing while coordinating asynchronously across timezones. Wages can be compared to the absolute minimum time needed to create each episode on the right side of each production sheet.
3. Access to Information: Kus Contributors have special access to ecosystem builders and often break new information first on The Kusamarian due to accumulated reputation.
4. Reputation: Built up over steadfast commitment and consistency, reputation not only opens access to information but builds the audience's faith in that info (the actual asset).
5. Lack of Perks: as Tom brought up in the stream, Kus creators are not extended the benefits of long-term Netflix employees (for example) such as insurance, medical, or paid vacation. They work with many risks and uncertainty in the service of tokenholders!

If you notice a premium on Kus Creators over wages dug up on line you may consider these points.

Despite endless anecdotes, the true wages of creative work varies tremendously from $0 to $10s of thousands an hour. The compensation for the services rendered by The Kusamarian team are in line with typical wages personally experienced in the places they are from. To be truthful, most on the team is taking a cut from former professional work. But worth it!!
